Abstract:
Mahindra & Mahindra known for its signature utility vehicles and tractors have recently forayed into the two-wheeler space by acquiring the assets of Kinetic Motors which was undergoing financial turmoil. Mahindra, who has already made a mark in the semi-urban and rural areas with its sports utility vehicles, aims to diversify and establish a strong foothold in the two-wheeler segment of the automobile industry which is the second largest in the world. The case throws light on the acquisition deal between the two companies by critically analysing it.
